PASS President’s Corner

PASS Members and “enthusiasts”, going forward into my next term as your president I decided it would be helpful to the growth and transparency of our union for you to get a “peek behind the curtain” as to how this union makes decisions and sometimes how we do not. As often as I am able, I will share some of the processes and verbal gymnastics we go through to do this. I may not address things that are strategic in nature and very sensitive, but I do believe it would be a great advantage to the growth of our union for potential future leaders to get a better understanding of difficult it can be, and how the number of important factors go into making these decisions. For decades, I have struggled with how we at PASS could dispel rumors and provide insight to our membership and potential members about how to communicate the truth. As the union’s president, I have unique insight on “all matters PASS” and know where the boundaries of discretion lie. Finding ways to tell these stories through official channels can be restrictive (even for me) and exhausting (especially for me). This site takes out that obstacle and allows me to explain why we do things, and what my vision for this union looks like for this decade and beyond.

The statements I make on this site are my own. The union does not provide resources to maintain the media. I will assert my protected right to free speech if questioned as to whether or not I my statements are “allowed”. I can you assure you that they are.
